What is Calvary Victoria:

We are a Bible teaching church in the heart of Victoria, British Columbia. We believe in the inerrancy of scripture and it’s unchanging relevance to every generation, so we simply teach it, from beginning to end. You might say, we take the Bible literally!

Calvary Victoria is a non-denominational church in fellowship with the movement of Calvary Chapels worldwide. Calvary Chapel churches are best known for the expositional teaching of the Word of God verse by verse through the entire Bible, and for keeping church simple with an emphasis on grace.

Church should be simple. When believers in Jesus gather together to worship Him, study the Bible, and fellowship with one another, we call that Church... and we like to do it every week. Calvary Victoria is a church in Victoria that believes in the beauty of simplicity.

We like good, old fashioned expository Bible teaching instead of Sunday morning sermons, and we like taking turns leading the worship, with every musician getting the opportunity to use their gifts on worship teams. We also like to take a fellowship break between the two and catch up with our friends over a cup of tea or coffee. The folks at Calvary Victoria are genuine, and new friends are genuinely welcome!

The heartbeat of Calvary Victoria is the teaching of the Word of God. Our vision is to disciple and equip every believer in the body of Christ to fulfill the unique and special calling God has on their life. We believe that every Christian has a calling; our goal is to help them discover it and walk in it. We do this without programs, trusting the Spirit of God to accomplish this through the simple teaching of the Word and personal discipleship. Jesus kept it simple, so we try to, too.
